DRAWING
I draw to visualize my thoughts. Drawing creates something that I can relate to. I am in direct dialog with what is being created on the page.
For me, lines are autonomous entities. Each one is in search of something it could represent. Each one contains a unique opportunity. Sometimes it seems to me that primordial beings emerge from the subconscious onto the paper, and they are all related to each other. Think of feeding, caressing, attacking, wounding, growth or transformation. Over time, my drawings became larger and larger, and one day a sheet of paper no longer offered enough space for the lines to unfold. I began to draw in rooms completely covered with paper. These drawing installations are spaces marked with charcoal and ink that you can enter. You are surrounded by the drawing and stand on the drawing. As a viewer, you are part of the drawing.
